Congressman Joe Pitts Visits Cardiology Care

On April 17, 2015, Congressman Joe Pitts visited our office. While here, he toured our office and learned about the type of patients we treat as well as their usual plan of care. Congressman Pitts expressed his interest in learning about our patients and how health care reform can help them. He fully supports sustaining quality medical care to our community, which is evident by his support of medicare funding to physicians and their practices. In our office, Dr. Chowdhury has been active in the American College of Cardiology (Advocacy Group of PA Chapter), in addition to writing multiple letters to congress to fight for funding for physician practices. Medicare funding is essential to provide top-notch care to our patients. Yesterday, President Obama signed the bill H.R. 2 Medicare Access and CHIP Reaurthorization Act of 2015 to maintain funding to US doctors. Without this needed funding, doctors could face budget struggles and ultimately decreased quality care for their patients.
